Build a Truck Bolster Height Gauge |

I collected a G truck, section of G track, a drill bit, aluminum strip, calipers, and a 6-32 3" screw with a nut. |

Two pieces of the aluminum were cut wider than the track. The third photo shows guides glued on the bottom of one piece to hold it on the rails. This particular piece was not used. A hole was drilled in the top piece. |

|
| The truck was set on the track and the two aluminum strips put into place. | |

The screw is dropped through the hole in the top piece and rests on the bottom piece. The nut is threaded down until it just touches the top piece. It is then pulled out and measured with the calipers. |
