I fixed this situation by adding the direction switch after the meters. Now the current from the powerpack is always the same polarity.

I wanted to add a voltmeter and ammeter to my MRC Railpower 1370 DC powerpack
circuit but all I could find were the Left-0 style. This meant that when using
the direction switch on the powerpack, the meters would read negative. I fixed this situation by adding the direction switch after the meters. Now the current from the powerpack is always the same polarity. My Athearn SW-1000 under power at 8 volts. |
